Google Analytics Integration

PerfLeaf can connect to your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) account to surface real-user performance data alongside the synthetic crawl metrics.

  • A Google account with access to a GA4 property for the site you’re monitoring
  • The site must already be set up in PerfLeaf
  1. Open Site Settings for the site you want to connect (/dashboard/settings/site/[id]).

  2. Scroll to the Integrations section and find the Google Analytics 4 card.

  3. If your Google account is not yet connected, click Connect Google Account. You’ll be redirected to Google’s OAuth consent screen.

  4. Grant PerfLeaf access to your Google Analytics data and return to the settings page.

  5. Once connected, a GA4 Property selector will appear. Select the property that corresponds to this site.

  6. Click Save to store the GA4 Property ID.

After connecting, GA4 real-user metrics can be surfaced in your reports. This provides a comparison between:

  • Synthetic metrics — collected by PerfLeaf’s crawler in a controlled environment
  • Real-user metrics — aggregated from actual visitors via GA4

To remove the GA4 integration from a site, open Site Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics 4 and click Disconnect.

To revoke PerfLeaf’s access to your Google account entirely, visit your Google Account permissions and remove PerfLeaf.
